Jonathon joined EyeBio in March 2023 bringing over 15 years’ experience across R&D, finance and investment in the biotech sector.
Originally trained as a medicinal chemist, Jon worked as a Senior Scientist at Evotec generating multiple patents and publications in the field of inflammation. In 2011 Jon moved into finance, and qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC. He has since worked in the biotech venture capital sector, joining SV Health Investors in 2015. Jon performed a range of roles at SV, supporting creation of, and as Head of Finance for the Dementia Discovery Fund. During this time Jon increasingly performed operating and non-executive roles for several early-stage biotechs, and moved to Enara Bio full-time as Finance Director in 2020.
Jon holds an MSci in Biochemistry and Biological Chemistry from the University of Nottingham, a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from UCL and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA).
